Our client is a small, family-owned business based in Ravenhall, Melbourne. They import an extensive range of high-quality tiles and supply directly to wholesalers across the region. Known for their friendly team and hands-on approach, they’re currently looking for a motivated and reliable Casual Warehouse Worker / Storeperson for a couple of days a week to join their warehouse team.
About the role
You’ll be a key part of the warehouse operations, handling both the physical and logistical side of stock management. From unloading containers to preparing customer orders, this is a role that requires you to have experience operating a forklift and a preparedness to jump in and manually pick orders.
What you’ll be doing
- Pick and pack tile orders with care and accuracy to meet customer requirements.
- Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and in line with company guidelines.
- Unload containers and delivery trucks (manual handling and forklift).
- Palletise and wrap tile products according to client specifications ready for distribution.
- Follow specific packing requirements for each brand.
- Liaise with internal staff and delivery drivers where needed.
- Move loads around the warehouse or a designated area.
- Lifting, moving, and carrying bulk items.
- Organising and storing items correctly.
- Keeping your workspace clean and following safety guidelines.
What we’re looking for
- A great attitude, you simply have to have it.
- Current and valid forklift (LF) licence – essential.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards.
- Some elements of the job are repetitive by nature, so being self-motivated and physically capable are a must.
- Previous experience in warehousing or labouring preferred, but not essential.
- Ability to work within time constraints and achieve client-led KPI’s.
- Reliability – able to work at short notice when required.
- Able to get there – reliable transport to get to and from work.
